A transportation plan built on safety, maintenance, accountability, and fiscal discipline.

As governor, I will make road building and road maintenance a core test of whether state government can still deliver.

WHAT I WILL DO

Fix Rural Roads:

Oklahoma has more than 5,100 miles of rural two-lane highways with deficient shoulders. I will accelerate shoulders, resurfacing, bridge-box replacement, and dangerous-curve corrections on the roads families, farmers, school buses, ambulances, and energy producers use every day.

Preserve pavement before it fails:

The cheapest road is the one we maintain before it has to be rebuilt. I will fund an asset-preservation schedule that treats fair roads before they become poor roads and publishes results on lane miles, bridges, bid prices, and on-time delivery

Make contracts pay for results:

I will use performance-based maintenance contracts where they can lower long-term cost, improve quality, and shift delivery risk away from taxpayers.

Cut red tape, not safety:

I will speed up permitting and project delivery while keeping engineering standards, transparency, and competitive bidding intact.

BOTTOM LINE

I will reform transportation agencies, demand accountability, and protect taxpayers – but I will not trade a proven rural road plan for an unfunded political promise. Oklahoma needs safer roads, stronger bridges, and a governor who fixes what people drive on every day.
