About Gentner

Gentner Drummond has spent his life fighting for freedom, upholding justice, and defending the values that make Oklahoma great. As a decorated fighter pilot and tough-on-crime Attorney General, he has proven that he will stand strong for our families and our future.

When his nation called, Captain Gentner Drummond answered with courage. Leading the first U.S. combat mission of the Gulf War, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for “extraordinary achievement.” By the end of Operation Desert Storm, Capt. Drummond was one of the most highly decorated Oklahomans of the war.

From Military Service to Public Service

After eight years of service to his country and earning a law degree from Georgetown University, Gentner returned home to Oklahoma to raise his family.

Though he built a successful legal career, ranching was in his blood. Raised on his family’s Osage County ranch, Gentner grew up working from sunup to sundown while attending Hominy Public Schools. He passed those same values of hard work and integrity on to his children, continuing his family’s ranching tradition.

A Proven Leader

Along the way, Gentner also became a successful businessman. His holdings include Blue Sky Bank, Drummond Law Firm, and Drummond Communications, creating hundreds of jobs in addition to the Drummond ranching operation.

Since being elected Attorney General in 2022, Gentner has delivered on his promise to protect Oklahoma families, uphold the rule of law, and make our state a place where safety and justice prevail. He has:

Shut down thousands of illegal marijuana operations
Taken on Mexican cartels and Chinese crime syndicates invading our country
Worked shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement to seize thousands of pounds of dangerous drugs, keeping them off our streets
Fought the Biden administration’s radical overreach, including failures on immigration and attempts to allow biological boys to compete in girls’ sports

Family First

Gentner and his wife Wendy are proud parents of a blended family with six children and seven grandchildren. Together, they are committed to serving Oklahoma with faith, integrity, and determination.
