Drummond Announces for Governor
Pawhuska, OK — Joined by family, friends, and supporters at the Osage County Fairgrounds, Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond officially announced his campaign today for Governor of Oklahoma.
“As a tough-on-crime Attorney General and decorated fighter pilot, I’ve proven I will always fight for our freedom and defend our values,” Drummond said. “Whether it was leading the first U.S. combat mission in the Gulf War, taking on the Biden Administration’s radical overreach, or standing up to Mexican cartels and Chinese crime syndicates, I will never back down from the battles we must fight.”
Drummond laid out his vision for a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Oklahoma, rooted in conservative values and strong leadership that puts Oklahoma families first.
“As Governor, I will keep standing strong with President Trump to secure the border, deport illegal immigrants, and stop the flow of drugs and crime into Oklahoma,” Drummond said. “I’ll fight to lower the tax burden, lower the cost of living, and increase the number of quality jobs.
I want to make Oklahoma the most business-friendly state in the nation and make life better for hardworking families. I will support public education, empower parents, and protect local control.”
Drummond, a decorated Gulf War fighter pilot, successful businessman, and lifelong rancher, emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Oklahoma rather than party bosses and special interest groups.
“Oklahoma deserves leadership that’s tough, courageous, and decisive,” Drummond said. “We don’t need any more career politicians looking for a promotion, and we don’t need someone who bows down to party bosses and special interest groups. I’m running for Governor to serve the People of Oklahoma—not the political elite.”
During Drummond’s announcement, he received a major endorsement from the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), which has over 6,500 members and is comprised of eighty lodges from Cities, Counties and State Agencies all over the State of Oklahoma. Mark Nelson, President of the FOP, spoke at the event, praising Drummond’s unwavering support for law enforcement and his record as a tough-on-crime Attorney General.
“As Attorney General, Gentner Drummond has stood shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement, taking on Mexican cartels, shutting down illegal drug operations, and protecting our communities,” said Nelson. “We’re proud to endorse him as the next Governor of Oklahoma.”
Drummond said he was honored to have the support of the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police.
“I am so thankful to the men and women across the state who risk their lives every day to protect and serve,” Drummond said. “Having the endorsement of this member-driven organization is a tremendous testament to my record of standing strong for public safety.”
Drummond said it would take the support of Oklahomans from all walks of life to win his campaign for Governor and build a better future.
“It’s going to take parents and grandparents, teachers and students, farmers and ranchers, and everyone in between,” Drummond said. “With God’s favor, we’re going to build a future that’s worthy of our children and grandchildren. A future filled with hope, opportunity, and promise.
Together, we’re going to make our great state greater, safer and more prosperous than it’s ever been.”
