TULSA, OKLAHOMA — Fresh off a Republican primary victory, the Gentner Drummond for Governor campaign announced today that it has raised more than $1 million in the first 48 hours following Election Day, a powerful sign of momentum as Oklahoma Republicans unite behind Drummond’s campaign for governor. The campaign has $505,000 in hand and has firm pledges of over $500,000 that will be collected in the days to come.

The fundraising surge comes after Drummond raised more than $4.7 million during the primary election, outraising all of his Republican opponents combined and building the largest grassroots and individual fundraising operation in the race.

“The outpouring of support we are receiving from Oklahomans is truly inspiring,” said Drummond. “Voters are ready for strong, principled leadership that puts Oklahoma first. They want a governor with the courage to make tough decisions, the conviction to stand by those decisions, and the integrity to always tell them the truth. That’s exactly the kind of governor I intend to be.”

The early runoff fundraising success positions the campaign to compete aggressively in what is expected to be one of the most expensive gubernatorial runoff elections in Oklahoma history.

Campaign Chairman Matt Parker said the fundraising numbers demonstrate that Oklahoma conservatives are rallying behind a candidate they trust rather than one attempting to purchase public office.

“In just 48 hours, more than a million dollars has poured into this campaign because Oklahomans understand what is at stake,” Parker said. “Mike Mazzei has already spent more than $11 million of his personal fortune trying to buy this election, while out-of-state special interests and dark money groups have spent millions more attacking Gentner Drummond with misleading and dishonest attacks.”
